Job Description
  • Lead analytics transformation for China CMB - Define overall analytics strategy and direction
    Accountable for ROI/budget on analytics use cases
    Drive innovation through collaboration & partnership
    Educate Stakeholders on data commercialization
  • Support China Road Map on CMB Analytics - to deploy the modern data & analytics technologies with the objective to empower frontline to achieve growth target more efficiently and more effectively.
  • Embed analytics with channels. Serve actionable insights to RMs and customers.
    > Integrate with various channels,  e.g. DTC/DBB/CRM/Operations...
    > conduct behaviour analysis
    > Optimize contact strategy
  • Drive the theme agenda in line with the agreed plan and operationalize the agreed principles within and outside the direct sphere of influence.  The theme agenda will include a new operating model for analytics teams, delivery of prioritized products, analytics tooling & infrastructure, MI Platform as a service, advanced analytics adoption practices, talent development & skill building, etc.,
  • Act as the point of contact for regional and global heads of analytics and help drive delivery of the analytics’ and data products.  
  • Responsible for identifying, coordinating, delivering, and tracking benefits from the data and analytics products
  • Support Data quality and drive implementation of GCMB data strategy. Co-ordinate CMB data programmes in collaboration with HBCN CDO. Represent CMB as China Data Forum
  • Drive consensus amongst the various stakeholders, design effective solutions & EPICS in close coordination with other product owners, and help drive implementation and delivery. The lead will have direct accountability of delivery for some of the prioritized products.
  • Represents analytics during SBI discussions and prioritization sessions as needed; Partners and collaborates with members of the CMB Regional CDOs, Heads of themes, and other stakeholders.
  • Help build optimal capacity and capability for analytics product delivery across various centres and regions as determined in the location strategy within the SBI
  • Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls
Skills/Experience Required
  • Experience in managing data / analytics deliverables and teams or a Consulting experience in the data/ analytics space 
  • Overall experience of 10+ years in in Banking/ Financial Services
  • Strong Driving & Navigational skills
  • Proven track record of mobilizing the right resources and delivering the outcomes in a matrix structure/ organization.  A very strong track record of ownership and accountability will be key to the success of this role.
  • Experience of working in an Agile framework
  • Highly effective in narrating the analytical output to stake holders, draw agreement on business actions or formulate impactful strategies.
